When cross docking beats storage
Cross docking makes sense when the destination for inbound freight is already known: retail distribution center allocations, Amazon FC replenishment, multi-node inventory placement, or promotional stock committed before it lands.
The savings are not only in storage rent. Every touch is a chance to damage a unit or lose a carton, and cross docking removes two of them — put-away and later retrieval.

Port proximity is the whole advantage
Our Southern California location sits within short drayage of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the largest container gateway in North America. A container can be pulled, devanned, sorted and back on an outbound trailer without a long-haul leg in between.
For import-heavy brands this compresses the time between customs release and sellable inventory, which is real working capital rather than an operational nicety.
Hybrid: cross dock part, store the rest
Most containers are not entirely pre-allocated. We split them: allocated cartons cross dock straight to outbound, the balance is received into storage and becomes available to sell the same day.
The split is decided from your allocation file, and both halves appear in the same inventory ledger so nothing goes missing between processes.
