Freight Receiving and Inbound Processing

Freight receiving at a Southern California fulfillment center: appointment scheduling, container unloading, ASN verification, damage documentation and same-day put-away.

Inventory you cannot sell is not inventory. Fulfillment EZ receives LTL, FTL and container freight with scheduled appointments, verifies every carton against your advance shipping notice, documents damage on arrival, and puts stock away the same day so it becomes sellable immediately.

  • Scheduled dock appointments for LTL, FTL and containers
  • Carton-level scan verification against your ASN
  • Photo-documented damage and shortage claims support
  • Same-day put-away and channel availability

Receiving that protects your claims

Freight damage discovered a week after delivery is usually uncollectable. We inspect and photograph pallets at the dock, note exceptions on the bill of lading before the driver leaves, and open the documentation trail you need for a carrier or supplier claim.

Shortages are identified at carton level against your advance shipping notice, so a supplier who shipped 940 units against a 1,000-unit PO is flagged on arrival rather than at the next cycle count.

  • Dock inspection and photo documentation before driver departure
  • BOL exception notation for damaged freight
  • Carton and unit-level ASN reconciliation
  • Supplier scorecard reporting on accuracy and condition

Same-day put-away means same-day selling

A container that sits on the dock for three days is three days of unsellable capital. Scheduled inbounds are received, verified and put away to bin locations the same day, and available-to-sell counts push to your channels as soon as put-away completes.

For launches and restocks with a specific go-live time, put-away can be sequenced so the SKU becomes available exactly when your marketing calendar says it should.

Working with overseas suppliers

We receive direct from overseas suppliers and freight forwarders, including full containers drayed from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, so goods never take a detour through your office or a third facility.

Supplier packing standards, carton labeling requirements and ASN formats are shared during onboarding, which removes most of the friction that makes first shipments slow.
